Everything about Cultiva Hanfmesse 2016

Vienna hosts the 9th edition of the Cultiva Hanfmesse, one of the most important cannabis fairs in Europe, held from 7 to 9 October in Vösendorf Eventpyramid.

Professionals will be spread over 140 exhibitors, where attendees will learn about the latest news about the cannabis world. The stands will be located in the pavilion, built with a glass roof pyramid-shaped which makes it a magical place.

This year, the organization has dedicated a lot of activities to the therapeutic uses of Marijuana. So, the main novelty of this ninth edition is the area dedicated to patients interested in medical cannabis to treat their illnesses.

To attend you have to register for the sessions, held in small groups formed by 10 people approximately. These meetings will be at the service of all those who want to obtain information and share their experiences. These sessions will be managed by medical professionals. They are experts in the treatment of diseases such as multiple sclerosis, arthritis, cancer, spasticity, inflammation and chronic pain.

One more year, one of the main activities of the fair is the Cannabis Congress. Specialists in the field of medicine, lawyers and professionals of the cannabis industry will share their knowledge and research throughout the lecture series.

Experts will talk about cannabis in the medicinal and therapeutic area, seen from the point of view of researchers, medical professionals and patients.

Among the twenty speakers who complete the program of Cannabis Congress is Tanja Bagar, directress and president of the science council of the International Institute for Cannabinoids (ICANNA). She will lead the talk entitled “The science of cultivating happiness: role of (endo) cannabinoids”.

Meanwhile, “Cannabinoids and Cancer” will be directed by Manuel Guzman. Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Complutense University of Madrid, a member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy and the Board of Directors of the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines.

The festival completes the program of the fair, with live music in the outside. Different types of music like reggae, soul and DJ sessions will enliven the weekend.
